Minister of the Interior and Administration, Coordinator of Special Services – Tomasz Siemoniak

Born on July 2, 1967 in Wałbrzych. Polish politician and economist.

A graduate of the Faculty of Foreign Trade at the Warsaw School of Economics. Scholarship holder of the University of Duisburg. In the 1990s, he was active in the Liberal Democratic Congress and the Freedom Union. In the years 1994-1996 he was employed at Polish Television – m.in. as the director of Channel 1. In the years 1998-2000, he was the director of the Press and Information Office at the Ministry of National Defence. From 2002, he was also the Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Polish Press Agency.

In the years 1998-2000 he was a councillor of the Warszawa-Centrum commune. From December 2000 to mid-2002, he was the Deputy Mayor of Warsaw. In the years 2002-2006, he was a member of the board of the Polish Radio, then until 2007 he held the office of the Deputy Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. In November 2007, he was appointed Secretary of State in the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, and in 2011 Minister of National Defence in Donald Tusk's government. In September 2014, he took the office of Deputy Prime Minister in the government of Ewa Kopacz. Since 2015, he has been a member of the Polish Parliament. On 13 December 2023, he was appointed Minister – member of the Council of Ministers and coordinator of special services.

Privately, a husband and father of a daughter and son.
