Declaration of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Portugal regarding repression against the Polish diaspora in Belarus

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Portugal joins the voices of opposition to the measures taken by the Belarusian authorities against the Polish minority. We oppose the ongoing action of repression and harassment against the Polish diaspora and the anti-Polish campaign which falsifies history. The attack on the Polish minority is another piece of the large-scale violation of human rights in Belarus.

We condemn the actions of the Belarusian authorities and call for international solidarity and joint action to free Andżelika Borys, Anna Paniszewa and Andrzej Poczobut, and to stop harassment of the Polish minority in Belarus.
