Education

The Department of Social Assistance of the Office of Social Welfare, in accordance with the obligations imposed by the Act of 13 June 2003 on granting protection to foreigners in the territory of the Republic of Poland, provides minor foreigners receiving education and care in public institutions, primary and secondary schools with teaching aids in the form of school supplies (incl. in-kind form or in the form of vouchers for its purchase) and school textbooks for children completing compulsory one-year kindergarten preparation (so-called zero) and secondary school students.

In order to receive:

  • school supplies, a valid certificate for the current school year must be sent
  • school textbooks, please send a valid certificate for the current school year and a list of textbooks received from the school

Dealing with official matters in electronic form is only possible through the Office's mailbox on the EPUAP platform - /UDSC/SkrytkaESP (https://epuap.gov.pl/wps/portal)

Polish as a foreign language is taught in centers for foreigners in Warsaw and remotely. The classes are intended for adults and children.

We encourage you to read the guide on the education of foreign children, prepared by the Department of Social Assistance of the Office of Social Welfare, which describes, among others: rules for admitting children to schools, forms of support and facilitations for foreigners in schools, and assistance provided by the Office for Civil Protection.
