Support for the Eastern Partnership countries

On November 23, 2021, on behalf of the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zbigniew Rau, Ambassador Jerzy Baurski signed two Memorandums of Understanding with the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Bjørn Berge.

Pursuant to the documents, the Polish government provided a voluntary contribution of PLN 240,000 (approximately EUR 52,000) to support the Council of Europe Action Plan for Georgia 2020-2023 and the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine 2018-2022. The purpose of these Action Plans is to support Georgia and Ukraine in implementing the Council of Europe's standards on human rights, democracy and the rule of law.

Poland also made a voluntary contribution of EUR 54,055 to support the Eastern European School of Political Studies in Vilnius.
