09.08.2024
Today, at the MFA headquarters, Deputy Ministers Jakub Wiśniewski and Marek Krawczyk, undersecretary of state in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and deputy chair of the Public Benefit Committee, signed an Agreement on cooperation in the organisation of the competition for the Polish Youth Delegate 2025/2026 to the 80th UN General Assembly session. The competition will be announced on the Public Benefit Committee website before 1 October 2024.
Poland has participated in the UN Youth Delegate Programme since 2012. The Youth Delegates are members of the official Polish delegation to the UN General Assembly session. They also participate in the work of UN bodies, especially those responsible for social issues, such as the role of youth in the UN’s activities.
“Activism within the UN is one of key components of Poland’s foreign policy. Thanks to the UN Youth Delegate Programme, ambitious young people who want to serve our country have a great opportunity to cooperate with their peers and make the Polish youth heard internationally,” said Deputy Minister Jakub Wiśniewski.
The Youth Delegates to the ongoing 78th General Assembly session are Małgorzata Stadnicka i Lukas Kasica. Hanna Miśniakiewicz i Monika Zimnoch, selected in the competition, are preparing for the upcoming 79th session.
