In a discussion on Russia's aggression against Ukraine, attended by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Deputy Minister Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski stressed the need for stable military support from the West to ensure Ukraine's success on the battlefield. He also noted the need to further support Ukraine economically, increase help for its energy sector, and continue sanctions policy. With regard to the situation in the Middle East, Deputy Minister Bartoszewski backed efforts to put an immediate end to hostilities. He was also concerned about the deteriorating security situation at the Israeli–Lebanese border.

As for Venezuela, he underlined that it is essential to coordinate the EU’s position on the result of the presidential election in that country.

In an informal discussion with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, the EU ministers discussed EU–Türkiye relations, referring to the report of the European Commission and the High Representative on the issue, presented in November 2023.
