Poland in Libya

The Minister of Foreign Affairs announces a contest for the best foreign language publication promoting the history of Poland and the best Polish language publication on the history of Polish diplomacy. The contest welcomes works which were published in 2021. Historians can submit their works until 31 August 2022.

On this day, let us remember about 7.5 million Ukrainian children affected by Russian aggression. The war in Ukraine is having a devastating effect on children. As the fighting continues, humanitarian needs are multiplying by the hour.

For the first time in its 20-year history, the world's largest and most important event devoted to cities - the World Urban Forum (WUF) – is to take place in Central and Eastern Europe in Poland. For five days from 26 to 30 June Katowice will become the capital of all cities in the world. The slogan of the Polish edition of the WUF is: "Transforming our cities for a better urban future". This is a unique opportunity to become part of an international event and decide on the future of cities.

On 18 May 2022, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Good Neighbourliness, Friendly Relations and Cooperation between Poland and Ukraine.

The world must seek out-of-the-box solutions. Only in this way will we be able to head off the dangers of a domino effect. By changing the geometry of geopolitics, Ukraine has given us hope today.

On the 3rd of May each year the Poles celebrate the anniversary of the passing of their 1791 constitution, the first such document of its kind in Europe and only the second in the world.

On 5 May, the National Stadium in Warsaw hosted an International Donors’ Conference, organised on the initiative of Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Sweden’s Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson and attended either in person or online by heads of states and governments of 21 countries, humanitarian organisations, financial institutions as well as representatives of the global business community.
