We are pleased to announce that the Polish Language Development Institute has announced a scholarship competition aimed at supporting activities aimed at popularizing the Polish language and Polish culture abroad.
Polish Language Development Institute Scholarships for 2024
The aim of the recruitment is to support the development of Polish communities and Polish language education around the world.
Types of scholarships:
1. Motivational scholarship:
Intended for people aged 16-30, awarded for achievements in popularizing Polish language learning in the last 12 months. The aim of the scholarship is to support activists who work for the promotion and integration of the Polish diaspora and the activation of the Polish language.
2. Recognition scholarship:
Aimed at people over 30 years of age, awarded for their entire achievements in the area of the development of the Polish language abroad and maintaining the Polish national identity. Scholarship intended for people with many years of experience in activities for the Polish language.
Letters of recommendation:
• The main criterion for awarding scholarships will be letters of recommendation.
• The letters will be assessed in terms of:
o Reputation and adequacy of the institution or person issuing the letter to the field covered by the application.
o Specific indication of the candidate's achievements and confirmation of their competences.
• Candidates should obtain letters of recommendation from:
o Presidents of Polish organizations,
o School principals,
o Professors and other representatives of academic and social institutions,
o Polish organizations,
o Consulates.
Recruitment lasts until December 1, 2024 (11:00 p.m.).
