About the competition
The GovTech Centre is proud to invite Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD level students to take part in an essay competition on the topic of Social, ethical and cultural aspects of using Artificial Intelligence. The future of new technologies. The competition will be held at an international level, and is addressed to European under- and postgraduates.
The entries can take the form of an academic paper, a reflective essay, an op-ed, journalistic investigation or even a literary form of a short story. The most important is however, for the participants to present their thinking on the given topic in an innovative and an original way.

Taking part in the competition will make it possible for students to dig into issues with a significant impact on the future of technologies.

The participants will furthermore be able to develop their writing and creative skills.

The organisers have prepared awards for the authors of the five best essays, in the form of 1 000 EUR each.

The competition is open to all undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students who, at the time of the deadline for submitting applications, are citizens of one of the Member States of the European Union, the European Free Trade Association, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation or the United Kingdom, Republic of Belarus, Democratic Republic of Georgia, Russian Federation, Ukraine, Republic of Armenia and Republic of Moldova.

Study at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
