The Embassies of Poland and Lithuania in Yerevan initiate joint ceremonies on the 230th anniversary of the Constitution of 3 May

On the occasion of the 230th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of May 3, 1791, the Embassies of the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Lithuania in Yerevan have the pleasure to announce the kick-off of cultural events to be held online, in accordance with the following program:

III. Film and podcast entitled "Europe's First Constitution - Why 3 May 1791 Matters?" presented by the English historian Richard Butterwicki-Pawlikowski
Professor Butterwick from the Royal Castle in Warsaw talks about the historical and geopolitical context leading to the adoption of the Constitution of May 3, 1791, analyzes the most interesting facts related to the Constitution of May 3, and explains the actions taken towards Poland by the three invaders, as a result of the adoption of the Basic Law of 1791.

IV. Gala concert on the occasion of the 230th anniversary of the adoption of the May 3rd Constitution
The Chamber Orchestra of St. Christopher will perform a special concert entitled "The Day that Changed History" at Palace of Grand Dukes in Vilnius. The orchestra under the baton of artistic director Modest Barkauskas will perform a program of works by Lithuanian and Polish composers.
The concert is organized jointly by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland and the Polish Institute in Vilnius, as well as the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"The Day That Changed History" concert will be broadcast on May 2 at 20:45 on the Lithuanian public television LRT Plius and on the Internet.
