Children’s Day at the Embassy

On June 6, on the occasion of the Children’s Day in Poland, the Polish Embassy in Canberra hosted the youngest members of the Polish community in Australia. Among many attractions were the screening of "The Magic Tree" film, face-painting, balloons and popcorn.

The event was an opportunity to present the main prize in the Polish recitation and music competition, which was awarded to Iza Stachura for recitation of Władysław Bełza’s "Catechism of a Young Pole" and singing of Jan Brzechwa's poem "On the Bergamut Islands". All children received gifts.
