On the occasion of the 149th anniversary of Strzelecki’s passing away and as part of the History Week in Victoria, an exhibition celebrating great Polish explorer’s life and his humanitarian work during the Great Irish Famine was shown in Corryong.

Among the participants were local councillors, historians, residents of Corryong and the region, representatives of the Polish community, as well as members of Dhudhuroa People with Elder Uncle Allan Murray, who performed a Welcome to Country ceremony. The program of the event included a performance of classical music by Polish-Australian artist Christopher Malek.
