Resolution of the Polish Sejm on the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Poland and Australia

"The Sejm of the Republic of Poland expresses its deep satisfaction with the ties linking our countries and nations despite the geographical distance" - Polish parliamentarians wrote in a resolution on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and Australia adopted by acclamation on 27 January. The diplomatic relations were established on 20 February 1972.
"For years, Poland and Australia have shared common values and interests in the international arena, as well common assessments of foreign policy challenges and threats" the document emphasised. It further added that the Sejm "appreciates and honours Australia – Poland’s close partner in the Asia-Pacific region, a country that for over two centries has been an invariably friendly home for the large Polish community living there ". As it was also noticed our growing economic cooperation reflects the strengthening of the bilateral ties between our countries.
"The Sejm of the Republic of Poland expresses its belief that, despite the pandemic, Polish-Australian cooperation in all areas will continue to develop to the benefit of our countries" - the document concluded.
