Celebrations of the Day of Independence of Poland in Montreal

On the initiative of the Canadian Polish Congress - Quebec District the Mass for Poland was celebrated in the parish church of St. John Paul II, followed by occasional speeches and artistic performances. A meeting of representatives of Polish organizations and institutions took place at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Montreal. Polish schools organized art competitions and ceremonial academies, during with patriotic poems were recited, Polish songs were sung, and historical films were presented. Schools also took part in the action named “Anthem for the Independent”, the worldwide joint singing of the Polish national anthem.
