“Music for Peace” - concert dedicated to the Memory of Saint Pope John Paul II and in support of Ukraine

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland and the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall, in partnership with the Embassy of Ukraine, are pleased to invite you to a concert “Music for Peace” dedicated to the Memory of Saint Pope John Paul II and in support of Ukraine.

The concert will be held on March 30, 2022 at 7:00PM (doors open at 6:30PM) at Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica (address: 385 Sussex Dr., Ottawa ON K1N 1J9).

The concert will feature following artists: 

Stephanie Piercey Beames – soprano

Adam Michalak – tenor

Mariusz Monczak – violin solo

Steven Massicotte – piano solo

Marina Krejcarova – soprano

Solomia Chabursky – soprano

Ensemble Con Brio de Montréal

The program includes two world premieres of compositions by John Sarkissian and Krzysztof Niegowski, works by Chopin, Bach, Paderewski, Lysenko, Orel, Morricone, Skoryk, Gomez, Franck, Jenkins and Ukrainian folk songs. Selected readings of Saint Pope John Paul II’s reflections and literary works will be presented by actress Liliana Komorowska.

The concert is free and open to the public. There are no tickets required.
