Changes in the consular districts of the Consulates General of the Republic of Poland in Toronto and Vancouver (applies to the province of Saskatchewan)
Please note that as of March 1, 2023 the new consular district of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Toronto will cover the following provinces:
- Ontario (except: Ottawa-Carleton, Lanark, Prescot-Russel, Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry, Leeds-Grenville, Frontenac, Lennox, Addington, Renfrew, as far as Kingston),
- Manitoba
- Nunavut.
The province of Saskatchewan will become a part of the consular district of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Vancouver.
The change means that consular issues (legal, citizenship, visas, Polonia) for Saskatchewan residents will be covered by the Consulate General in Vancouver. The change of the consular districts is due to the fact that distance between Toronto and Regina is nearly 2700 km (the shortest land connection runs through the United States and requires a 26-hours drive), while between Vancouver and Regina it is approx. 1800 km. The change is intended to facilitate access to consular services for residents of the province of Saskatchewan, also in the case of submitting visas applications and performing activities in the field of citizenship issues. This will provide a better balance in access to consular services for Saskatchewan clients in relation to the consular services availability for residents of both Ontario and Manitoba as well as British Columbia and Alberta.
You can file a passport application in any Republic of Poland consular office you choose.
