Persons authorized to enter Poland
05.03.2021
New regulations regarding restrictions on the Polish border in effect from February 27, 2021.
Poland's borders, which also constitute the EU's external borders, continue to institute restrictions for the purpose of COVID-19 prevention. This includes both restrictions on foreigners' entry into Poland and the obligation to undergo quarantine after crossing the border.
Citizens of Poland, EU, EEA and Switzerland who cross the Polish border, are no longer exempt from quarantine. 10 days quarantine will be obligatory for any person crossing the land border section between Poland and the Czech Republic or Slovakia, irrespective of the mode of transport that he/she uses or by foot, to travel to their place of residence or domicile. After crossing the internal border, persons are directed to quarantine.
Person crossing this land border section must have a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result (antigen or RT-PCR), which must be performed before crossing the border and within 48 hours from the moment of reception of the test result. Such person must present the test result in Polish or English at the request of the Polish Border Guard officer or police officer. Exempt from quarantine are, inter alia, individuals vaccinated against COVID-19.
We encourage you to contact the Border Guard directly regarding new quarantine regulations in effect from February 27, 2021 (also look at exemption from quarantine):
