According to the tradition in Poland, on 16 December, the youngest Poles living with their families in Alsace took part in a meeting with a well-known personality from distant Lapland – Santa Claus.

The Permanent Representation of Poland to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, in addition to the implementation of its statutory mission related to the membership in the Council of Europe, is also a centre where cultural and educational events are held. The aim of such events is to preserve the Polish identity among those Poles living abroad.
