Screening of the film "Kredens: live" and meeting with the director Jacob Dammas

On 4th June at the Jewish Community House in Copenhagen, the film "Kredens: live", directed by Jacob Dammas was shown. The screening was accompanied by live music performed by the accordionist Martin Bennebo and the cellist Lisa Nyeng. After the screening there was a Q&A session with Mr. Dammas.
The film "Kredens: live" tells the story of a Danish film director who travels to Wrocław in search of the past of his parents, who had to leave the city in 1968. He talks to their former neighbors, trying to find an old family furniture - the title kredens (sideboard). After the screening of the film the director told about the background of his film and the search for identity. The conversation was moderated by the journalist Sanne Cigale Benmouy.
The event was held as part of the 10th edition of the Jewish Culture Festival in Copenhagen. The project was created with the support of the Polish Embassy in Copenhagen.
