1) Who has to have airport transit visa?
All citizens of Egypt who will travel to non-Schengen countries via airports in Poland.
2) From when new regulation is valid?
New regulation is valid from Saturday, 14 of January 2023.
3) If I already booked ticket via Poland, do I need to have airport transit visa?
Yes
4) Where I can get airport transit visa?
At the Embassy of Poland in Cairo. Details at: www.gov.pl/egypt
5) Do I need to book an appointment?
Yes and you can do this via: https://secure.e-konsulat.gov.pl/ only
6) How long does it take to issue airport transit visa?
15 days. However this period may be extended up to 45 days
7) Who doesn't need to have airport transit visa?
- holders of valid schengen visa C or D or residence permit issued by any Schengen state
- holders of valid residence permit listed in Annex V of the Community Code on Visas issued by Andorra, Canada, Japan, San Marino or USA
- holders of valid visa of a European Economic Area country or Canada, Japan or USA, or on return from these countries after using such visa
- members of an EU citizen's closest family based on the Article 1(2)(a) of Community Code on Visas
- holders of diplomatic passports
- flight crew members
8) What does airpoort transit "A" visa allows to?
It allows you to stay in the airport's transit zone only. Based on this type of visa you won't be allowed to cross the border of Schengen state and leave the airport.
