Deputy Minister Paweł Jabłoński took part in the Africa Business Forum in Tallinn on May 15. On the sidelines of the event, the Undersecretary of State met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia.

The participation of the Polish representative in the event was aimed at strengthening relations between Poland and the African continent and the Baltic countries. Joint projects and initiatives mean not only strengthening the economic aspect, but also activities in the political and security dimensions.

Poland strives to implement multinational projects that involve especially the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, which do not have a colonial past, and at the same time are very competitive with Western Europe. The growing presence of Polish and Estonian companies in African countries is the foundation for further cooperation.

The main topics discussed during the Forum were the opportunities opening up in Africa in the area of ​​digital transformation, green technologies as well as education and innovation. The event, opened by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, was attended by over 170 representatives of business, organizations and foundations from European and African countries.

The rapid economic growth of Africa opens up new opportunities for the development of this part of the world. The Polish offer for the African continent is to support the most modern and innovative technologies that will facilitate the digitization of both the public and private sectors.

On the sidelines of the Forum, Deputy Minister Paweł Jabłoński met with Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna and Deputy Foreign Minister Mariin Ratnik, responsible for economic affairs and development. Cooperation between Poland and Estonia will be deepened in the coming months, and both countries declare their readiness to implement joint projects.

Deputy Minister Jabłoński emphasized the growing importance of Poland and Estonia in the context of the international order. In his opinion, the developing cooperation with African countries proves readiness to implement further projects and strengthening the position of both countries in the global dimension.
