Digital Europe of the Carpathians present at the conference in Karpacz
A project is being launched to develop the tourism industry through innovative solutions involving local communities.
Europe of the Carpathians is an area bringing together countries with access to the Carpathian range, connected both geographically and historically or culturally. Within framework international cooperation region, the Carpathian Europe Conference is organised in Karpacz from 7 to 9 September 2021, where representatives of the administration and activists for the region have the opportunity to exchange views on the future of the Carpathian Europe.
The digital development project for the region is also being presented at the conference. It will include measures to increase the visibility and attractiveness of the Carpathian areas in terms of tourism and to build regional awareness.
The Digital Carpathian Europe project proposed by the Polish administration will consist of initiatives dedicated to local communities. Activities will be directed to individual citizens and industries operating in the region. In particular, the tourism industry and cultural institutions will be essential to be involved in the project. By creating activities such as a tourism marathon and a tourism app, the project aims to facilitate further access to information about the region for incoming tourists.
