Poland in Georgia

Poland celebrated the 106th anniversary of its independence on November 11. On this occasion, the Polish Embassy in Tbilisi once again organized the Independence Run around Lake Lisi in the Georgian capital.

Participants in the run were awarded commemorative medals and T-shirts.  The run did not have the character of an official competition. It was attended by Poles living in Georgia, Georgians and citizens of other countries.

The excellent catering of the event was supported by Gemometria, run by the Anti-Violence Network of Georgia, and Sweet Heart Cafe, run by Caritas Georgia, beneficiaries of Polish development aid.

The run was held thanks to the help of sponsors, including such Polish companies as Traczynski, Tymbark, Colian, Maspex, Sante, Dr. Irena Eris, and Ziaja, and with the support of the local branch of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
