Cultural institutions and embassies from 14 member countries of the EUNIC Athens network in collaboration with the Representation of the European Commission in Athens, the Foundation for State Scholarships (IKY), the Athens Culture Net of the Municipality of Athens and other partners celebrate for the 9th time the fascinating linguistic wealth of Europe.

The central theme of this year's European Day of Languages ​​will be sustainability and environment. Visitors will have the opportunity to attend a program of multilingual narratives from the oral tradition of European countries, to participate in educational workshops for children as well as to talk to the representatives of all the institutions.

The celebration of the European Day of Languages ​​was established in 2001, with the aim of supporting and promoting Europe's linguistic diversity as well as the development of language skills, with the aim of the full and democratic participation of its citizens in the preservation of its multicultural identity.

The European Day of Languages ​​is held within the Athens Garden Festival of the EUNIC network in Athens in collaboration with the Athens Culture Net of the Municipality of Athens.
