Polish productions could not be missing. We are pleased to inform you that seven Polish films will be screened this year.

The program includes the films:

Juliusz Machulski’s Sexmission, a science-fiction comedy  which came out in theatres in 1983 remains one of the most beloved and quotable movies in Polish film history. The protagonists of the film are Max and Albert, hibernated in 1991, who wake up in 2044 after the war in a totalitarian world without men.

“War of the Worlds: Next century” by Piotr Szulkin is a 1981 Polish film which is inspired by the classic 1897 novel of H. G. Wells, The War of the Worlds. It was immediately banned by the Polish government upon its release because it depicted parallels with the political situation of the country at that time. It did not receive its premiere until 20 February 1983.

„Kill it and leave this town” animation film by Mariusz Wilczyński, that presents the history of a hero who, fleeing from despair after losing his loved ones, hides in a safe land of memories, where time stands still and all those dear to him are alive.

Co-productions with Polish participation such as: "The Whaler Boy" directed by Philipp Yuryev, "I never cry" by Piotr Domalewski, "The Garden" by Ragnar Bragason and "Thou shalt not hate" directed by Mauro Mancini, will be screened as well.
