Artificial Intelligence in the design process

Artificial Intelligence in the design process

On 13 November, a symposium on the role of AI in the design process was opened at University of Tehran. The joint initiative of the Polish Embassy in Iran and the University's Faculty of Fine Arts aims to provide young Iranian designers with state-of-the-art knowledge on modern trends in industrial design.

The main guest is David Sypniewski, a Polish researcher and designer from the Warsaw School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SWPS). He will present a series of six lectures and workshops exploring the potential of AI, including ethical considerations for its use. AI-driven tools for designers will be presented. One of the practical challenges for students will be to use these tools to create a new brand identity.

The symposium is part of the bilateral academic and cultural cooperation in the field of industrial design, which the Embassy and University of Tehran have been implementing since 2019. Industrial design is an important field of creative activity as it combines art, science and industrial development.
