Commemoration of the Polish Armed Forces Day in Bagdad War Cemetery

On the occasion of the Polish Armed Forces Day Ambassador of Poland to Iraq, H.E.Mr.Marcin Kubiak, accompanied by the Polish Defence Attaché, Col.Marcin Chruśliński, visited Bagdad North Gate War Cemetery.
There are graves of 23 Polish soldiers (the General’s Anders Army) who died at the turn of 1942 and 1943 as well as the memorial commemorating 438 Polish soldiers buried initially at Khanaqin. Amb.M.Kubiak and Col.M.Chrusliński laid flowers on the graves of the Polish soldiers and lit a vigil candle at the memorial.
