Mobile Theatre Family Group project inaugurated

Theatre Family Group from Qaraqosh/ Ninevah Plains officially received the mobile caravan & scene funded by Polish Aid
Theatre Family Group was established in 2015 in Erbil by Milad Zakar who leads and directs talented boys and girls, fascinated by acting, theatre and film. What started during the enforced displacement period, when their Christian hometown was occupied by ISIS, developed into sustained activity with Qaraqosh liberated in 2016. Still they lacked a solid venue using hired or otherwise granted spaces.
The current project, deviced by the Consulate general of Poland in Erbil and funded from Polish Aid resources, aimed to provide the Theatre Family Group with a caravan, mobile scene, sound & light equipment and other related accessories. Thus the scope of the Group's activity may widen, making performances possible in other locations of the Ninevah Plains and the neighbouring areas of the federal Iraq & Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
The inauguration took place on Dec 2 at 3:30 pm in Qaraqosh, with local inhabitants and leaders participating.
