Poland donates 50,000 protective face masks to Iraq

On the 16th of June the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland delivered 50,000 protective face masks to Iraq’s health authorities, at the latter's request for support in response to the COVID-19 global pandemic.
The request was made through NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC), the NATO’s main civil emergency response mechanism.
The Polish contingent in the NATO Mission Iraq (NMI) coordinated the delivery. A ceremony to mark the Polish donation took place at the Iraqi military base at Taji, attended by Iraqi senior civilian and military officials, Polish representatives, personnel of the NATO Mission Iraq and of the Combined Joint Task Force of the US-led Operation Inherent Resolve.
