Purchase and delivery of school items in Hatara was possible thanks to the cooperation with Hungarian Interchurch Aid. HIA has been present in the education sector in the Nineveh Plains (including Hatara) with major rehabilitation projects carried out in 2018-2019. The continuous support for these schools is very much needed and upon further assessments and based on the donor requirements, HIA is ready to implement further actions in these schools in the Nineveh Plains starting from September 2021 with the starting of the next academic year.

Polish Aid, following HIA’s suggestions based on the local needs supported 6 schools: Kand (secondary, mixed school; 191 students), Hatara High (high, mixed school; 176 students), Hasad School (secondary, mixed school; 205 students), Hayran (primary, mixed school; 179 students), Kfnar (primary, mixed school; 427 students), and Mazn Hatara (primary, mixed school; 493 students).
