Polish researchers participate in CORE2 Symposium, Erbil

Cancer & Oncology Research Endeavour Symposium (CORE2) has been held on May 19 in Erbil, organized jointly by: Salahaddin University, Tishk International University, Salahaddin University Research Centre (SURC) and Cancer Patients Support Fund.
Three distinguished scientists from the Jagiellonian University/ Cracow, have been speaking at the symposium: Prof. Dr. Janusz Dąbrowski (Keynote speaker, Faculty of Chemistry; presentation on "NIR-absorbing photosensitizing drugs for photodynamic therapy: from synthesis to clinical trials"), Associate Prof. Dr. Barbara Pucelik (Keynote speaker; representing also Małopolska Centre of Biotechnology; presentation on "Fine-Tuning the activity of biocompatible nanoparticles in advanced tumor models: towards the buildup of magic (nano)bullet for cancer therapy") and Adam Sułek (PhD student; Faculty of Chemistry). Professor Abdulkarim Yasin Karim (Salahaddin University, graduate from the Jagiellonian University) presented a lecture on "Shiga toxin subunit B protein as a targeting moiety for intercellular drug delivery".
The delegation visited also two Erbil universities, meeting: Dr. Idris Hadi Salih (Head of Board of Trustees, Tishk International University) and Prof. Dr Amjad Saber al-Delawi (President of Cihan University).
