Polish scientists in Erbil for the Modern Biomedicine International Symposium

The Symposium has been organised on March 30, by Biology Department, College of Science of the Salahaddin Univeristy in Erbil (SUE). Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Erbil, Mr. Dominik Musiał, attended the Symposium.
Guest speakers included: Prof. Dr. Krzysztof Pyrć, prof. Dr. Grzegorz Dubin and Assist. Prof. Dr. Anna Czarna from Jagiellonian Univeristy, Cracow as well as Prof. Dr. Abdulkarim Yasin Karim, Salahuddin University, Erbil. The Symposium was attended by Mr. Dominik Musiał, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Erbil.
Prof. Dr. Pyrć lectured on "Antivirals for emerging viruses", Prof. Dr. Dubin - on "Peroxisomal transport as a drug target in Trypanosoma", Assist. Prof. Dr. Czarna - on "Various in vitro models for diabetes treatment" and Prof. Dr. Karim - on "Shiga Toxin B Subunit as a targeting moiety for intracellular drug delivery".
Apart from SUE the Polish guests visited 4 other universities in the Kurdistan Region: Tishk International University, Cihan Univeristy, University of Duhok and Hawler Medical University, meeting with their authorities, teaching staff and students.
