In this cheerful video, nine ambassadors to Ireland get on their bikes and ask Irish viewers to join them in order to celebrate World Bicycle Day on June 3rd.
The ambassadors praise the benefits of cycling for both physical and mental health, for reducing our carbon footprint, and also simply because it’s good fun. Cycling is to be shared with family and friends… and as you will see, even our furry friends!
The ambassadors of Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, New Zealand, The Netherlands and Poland share their tips with Irish audience on how to be an accomplished, safety-conscious and weather-undeterred cyclist – all in a lighthearted manner!
They also admire the recent transformation of Dublin into a bicycle-friendly capital.
The video was produced by the Polish Embassy in Dublin in order to pay tribute to Leszek Sibilski, a Polish cyclist turned academic, thanks to whose tireless efforts the United Nations established World Bicycle Day in 2018.
