Let’s celebrate the 3 May Constitution Day on the 230. anniversary of its ratification.

The Ambassador of Poland Anna Sochańska and the Ambassador of Lithuania Marijus Gutynas address all Poles and Lithuanians both in Ireland and worldwide on this special day.

In this video the two ambassadors bring to the Irish audience the story of adoption of the 3 May Constitution exactly 230 years ago by the Parliament of the Polish-Lithuania Commonwealth.

They also emphasize how modern and innovative the constitution was for its time – being the first democratically-adopted modern constitution in Europe and only the second in the world (after the United States constitution).
