Travel to Poland

Since 28 December 2020, persons who cross the Polish border (which is both an internal and external border of the EU) travelling by plane, bus or other means of public transport must undergo 10 days of mandatory quarantine, counted from the day following the day of crossing the border.
Important information about travelling to Poland
- All persons arriving in Poland from Ireland are exempted from quarantine it they present a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result (PCR, antigen) taken within 48 hours before crossing the border.
- The rules apply to all means of transport: public and individual transport.
- Those requested to go on quarantine in Poland are permitted to take a COVID-19 test, within 48h after entering the state, the negative result will exempt from the quarantine.
- Persons who are fully vaccinated are exempted from the quarantine. This applies to persons who have been issued a certificate of preventive vaccination with a vaccine that has been approved for marketing in the European Union. Fully vaccinated means: 14 days after second dose (two dose vaccine) or one dose (one dose vaccine).
- Children under 12 years of age are exempted from the quarantine if they travel with adults who are fully vaccinated.
