Completion of the first phase of the Polish Aid Equal Opportunities project

28.11.2019

On 28th of November 2019, the first phase of the Polish Aid project "Equal Opportunities" for those affected by the conflict in Syria was completed in Mafraq.

Polish Aid in Mafraq

Our partner Jordan Health Aid Society (JHAS) with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs funds from the Polish Aid programe provided over 100 selected beneficiaries with rehabilitation equipment. The aim of the project is to help the most severely affected persons (total or partial paralysis) during the war in Syria. Under the project, the beneficiaries are not only Syrian refugees but also Jordanians who bear the burden of care.

The next stage of the implementation of the programme will be the installation of equipment enabling everyday functioning (e.g. equipping bathrooms with specialist handles) in the beneficiaries' places of residence. Ultimately, the project will target directly more than 200 people in northern Jordan.
