Polish Community End of The Year Gathering 2024
06.12.2024
On December 6 in Amman, over 150 representatives of the Polish community in Jordan took part in the community's end-of-year gathering. The event, which was one of the largest events of this type organized by the Embasy in recent years, was attended by Poles and Polish families living in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Polish language students at the University of Jordan in Amman and representatives of the Embassy.
During the event, which was organized at the invitation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Lucjan Karpiński, and the Consul of the Republic of Poland, Adrian Browarczyk, representatives of the Polish community in Jordan - Polish families, Polish employees of international institutions in Jordan, sisters from the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters and friends of Poland - had the opportunity to spend time together on the occasion of the upcoming end of the year and the National Independence Day celebrated in November. The project enabled members of the Polish community in the country to participate in cultivating Polish traditions, the end of the year customs and cultivating the Polish language. The youngest participants of the event were provided with surprises - interactive games and activities, as well as a meeting with a special guest.
Students of the University of Jordan in Amman, who started learning Polish in October 2023 thanks to cooperation with the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), were invited to participate in the project.
During the meeting, publicly available promotional materials of the Polish Tourist Organization were used.
