The closing ceremony of the Jordan Breast Cancer Program 2024
16.12.2024
The Jordan Breast Cancer Program (JBCP), in collaboration with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, aimed to expand its education efforts to address the persistent disparity in breast cancer awareness among women residing in low-income and underserved rural areas of Al Balqa' governorate.
Building upon the successful pilot project supported by Polish Aid, this initiative sought to replicate and scale up effective strategies to raise awareness, promote early detection, and empower women to take control of their health.
Through the Health Awareness and Social Behaviour Change Project for Cancer Early Detection in Balqaa' Governorate, funded by Polish Aid, JBCP empowered women by raising awareness about early detection and breast cancer prevention. Their efforts included 258 lectures, plenty of home visits, and around 1000 community outreach activities, directly reaching 5 943 women in Al Balqa Governorate.
Together, we’re encouraging early detection and facilitating referrals to the early detection services for timely care.
