The Ministry of the Interior and Administration undertakes to ensure the accessibility of the www.gov.pl/kcik website in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications operated by public entities. The accessibility declaration concerns the website of the National Intervention and Consultation Centre for Victims of Human Trafficking.

Everyone has a right to request making a digital website, mobile application or any element thereof accessible. You may also request information to be made available to you via alternative means of access, such as reading a document that is not digitally accessible, describing the content of a film without an audio description, etc. The request should include personal data of the person making the request, an indication of the relevant website or mobile application, as well as contact information. If the requesting person indicates the need to receive the information in an alternative form, they should also specify the form that they would like to receive.

The public entity should comply with the request immediately, no later than 7 days after the request is made. If this deadline cannot be met for any reason, the public entity shall immediately inform the person making the request about the date, at which fulfilling the request will be possible, but no later than 2 months from the date of the request. If accessibility cannot be ensured, the public entity may propose an alternative manner of accessing the relevant information.

If the entity refuses to comply with a request to ensure accessibility or alternate way of accessing the information, the user may file a complaint concerning that situation.

Once all possibilities have been exhausted, a complaint can also be sent to the Ombudsman.

Architectural accessibility

The Ministry of the Interior and Administration has several buildings in Warsaw, where the general public is able to handle their matters:

  1. at Batorego 5 in Warsaw;
  2. at Rakowiecka 2a in Warsaw;
  3. at Domaniewska 36/38 in Warsaw.
     

Entering the Ministry of the Interior and Administration buildings requires undergoing a security check. Weapons, explosives and hazardous materials, as well as other items that may put employees or members of the public in danger, may not be brought into the Ministry of the Interior and Administration buildings.
The building at Batorego 5 in Warsaw can be accessed through the pass office located at Rakowiecka 2a in Warsaw or through the entrance gates (available after prior notification) on Batorego and Rakowiecka Streets.

Getting to the pass office building requires taking several stairs; it may also be accessed thanks to the elevator, which is accessible to wheelchair users. The registry office and the pass desk are located to the right of the vestibule. Moving past that point is possible only upon producing a valid pass. You can get from the pass office to the rest of the building via stairs or a ramp for wheelchair users.

In order to get to the main building, follow the existing pedestrian or vehicular routes to building F – the last building (from the pass office) located in the building complex of the Internal Security Agency and the Ministry of the Interior and Administration. The visitor entrance to Building F can be accessed through the gate under the arcade. The entrance to Building F is located to the right of the gate, in the central part of the building. The parking space for persons with disabilities is located to the left side of the main entrance, near the ramp for wheelchair users. The entrance is accessible via the stairs and a ramp for wheelchair users. The main entrance is covered by a roof. Upon entering the building, to the left, the visitors can see the reception desk and the security desk. The passage to the interior of the building is secured by gates, which are accessible to wheelchair users. They can also use corridors and rooms located on the ground floor and floors I through V. The building is equipped with four lifts, located by the staircases, accessible through the corridors, to the left and right from the main entrance. Each shaft had one elevator with dimensions that can accommodate a wheelchair. All elevators have buttons labelled in Braille and high-contrast floor displays, as well as voice announcements. One of the elevators located to the left stops on all floors – from the basement to floor V, while the remaining elevators connect the ground floor with floors I through IV. There are two wheelchair accessible toilets on the ground floor and one on each of the floors I through IV. These toilets are located near the elevators. 

The building at Rakowiecka 2a in Warsaw, where the Department for Permits and Licences of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration is located, is situated outside the fence of the building complex of the Internal Security Agency and the Ministry of the Interior and Administration at Rakowiecka 2a and Batorego 5 in Warsaw. Visitors can enter via the main entrance, which can be accessed via the internal road, accessible from  Rakowiecka Street in Warsaw. Access to the internal road is not restricted. A parking space adapted to the needs of persons with limited mobility and wheelchair users is located to the right side of the main entrance. The building can be accessed by stairs or by an external lift for wheelchair users. You may also press the intercom button located at the entrance. Moving past that point is possible only upon passing a security check. The ground floor of the building has been adapted for wheelchair users. A wheelchair accessible toilet is located to the left of the entrance.

The building at Domaniewska 36/38 in Warsaw can be accessed through the entrance from Samochodowa Street. There is a security checkpoint and reception in the entrance hall. Moving past that point requires crossing the security gates, which are accessible to wheelchair users. On the ground floor of the building (to the left, behind the gates) there is a wheelchair accessible toilet. There are no toilets for persons with disabilities on other floors. The office and customer service desk is located on the ground floor of the building, directly opposite the security gates. The building has two elevators with Braille-labelled buttons and high-contrast floor displays. The dimensions of the elevators make them accessible to persons with disabilities. The designated parking spaces are available only in the car park run by the Chief Police Headquarters.
