The initiative aims at raising funds for drilling a water borehole and purchasing a water tank for Help Furaha, a local organisation that runs a day care centre for children with cerebral palsy, autism and Down syndrome in Meru County, Kenya. It offers them health and development support, including daily physiotherapy, special education opportunities and psychotherapy.  The centre has been operating in a rented building since 2016, but the organization recently purchased its own land, on which a modern rehabilitation centre will eventually be built. The first stage of its construction consists of drilling a borehole and ensuring the new centre with permanent access to potable water.

Within four days, the trio of Polish cyclists will traverse 250 km from Nairobi through Sagana, Kiganjo, Nanyuki up to Furaha Centre's headquarters in Meru, where they will arrive on February 18, 2021. Their cycling trip is accompanied by the collection of funds for the construction of a borehole for Furaha Centre on of the social networks.

On February 15, 2021 Ambassador Jacek Bazański and his family welcomed the participants of the event at their residence and ceremonially launched the trip, flagging the cyclists off with the Polish flag. The residence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland was the starting point of the "Cycling for water" initiative, which will end in the Furaha Centre in Meru.
