The envoys listened to a presentation on Meru County and Meru Vision 2040 and then visited the Meru County Gender Department and the Meru Twaweza Women Empowerment Programme, co-funded by Denmark, the Netherlands and Sweden. They later saw the Meru Cancer Centre at the Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital, the Njogune Boarding Primary School, the Kionyo Tea Factory, the Kaguru Agricultural Training Centre at Nkubu and also met two agri-entrepreneurs funded under the EU's AGRIFI project.
