Meeting with the Minister of Treasury and Economic Planning, Prof. Njugun Ndung'u

The activity of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in strengthening bilateral economic cooperation resulted in a number of ministerial invitations. On August 24, 2023, at the invitation of the Kenyan side, the Polish delegation consisting of representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland and the Kenyan branch of Polish Investment and Trade Agency was received by prof. Njugun Ndung, Minister of Treasury and Economic Planning, equivalent to the Polish Minister of Finance and Treasury.
The topic of the meeting was to strengthen the Polish economic presence in Kenya in terms of Polish investments, technology transfer and the purchase of machinery and equipment. In his conversation with the Polish delegation, Minister Ndung'u touched on the subject of strengthening economic relations with the use of Polish export financing tools. The minister was particularly interested in the offer of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego. In order to urgently implement specific government orders for the supply of machinery and equipment from Poland, a team consisting of representatives of both parties was established. Minister Ndung'u congratulated the Polish Embassy on its activity, recognizing the meeting as very fruitful.
