Mission of EU ambassadors to Homa Bay and Migori counties supporting the ecological transition in South Nyanza.

On March 11-13, the EU Ambassador to Kenya, Ms. Henriette Geiger, together with the Ambassadors of Austria, Dr. Christian Fellner, Germany, Mr. Sebastian Groth, France, Mr. Arnaud Suquet, Sweden, Ms. Caroline Vicini, and Poland, Mr. Mirosław Gojdź, took part in a joint visit to the counties of Homa Bay and Migori, to consult with county government leaders, business and industry representatives, academics and researchers, as part of strengthening the relationship between the European Union and its Member States with regions in Kenya.
Supporting Kenya's green transition is the goal of the European Union-Kenya Global Gateway partnership. In the spirit of co-creation, partnership and dialogue, during the visit, the delegation presented projects on renewable energy and climate-smart solutions and sustainable agricultural value chains, e-mobility, climate finance and circular economy and sustainable infrastructure under the patronage of the Global Gateway strategy.
