The project upgrades the Nyabyeya Health Center (from class II to III) by building a maternity ward for 10 beds. The maternity ward is a response to a large number of cases of mother-to-child diseases and the mortality rate of mothers giving birth in the countryside with the help of traditional midwives. With the opening of the maternity unit, mothers will have greater access to antenatal services and childbirth care without having to travel long distances, putting them at risk including death. In the medical field, it will improve and increase the number of services offered by the Health Center.
