Ankitsiky is located on the west coast of Madagascar, dominated by mangrove forests, difficult to access and devoid of farmland and any industry. The only source of income is fishing and the exploitation of the natural resources of these forests such as wood, medicinal plants, honey and natural silk. Education in the countryside remains at the same low level, deprived of the appropriate infrastructure for teaching.

In 2018 and 2019, two solid school buildings were built and properly equipped. They create appropriate technical conditions for the intellectual development of children and youth, as well as for the activation of their parents. The last phase of the expansion of the educational complex in Ankitsiky was completed this year. This stage concerned works related to the construction of toilets, leveling the ground with the preparation of a recreational and sports area, a rainwater drainage system, the construction of dam walls and the installation of stairs leading to the school buildings, as well as the construction of a short section of paved road leading to educational complex.
