Polish Aid Small Grants Programme 2020 - results of the call for applications

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi is pleased to share the results of the 2020 call for applications under the Polish Aid Small Grants Programme. Four projects, amouting to 80 000 euros in total, were selected among 42 applications received.
After careful review and consideration of all submitted applications in the 2020 intake, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland has decided to select the following projects for financing:
In Kenya:
- Sultan Hamud Subcounty Hospital waste disposal project, submitted by the Sultan Hamud Subcounty Hospital in Makueni County, with the amount of 30 000 euros;
- Shine with SOMO AFRICA – supporting entrepreneurship among young people from low-income and disadvantaged communities in Kisumu County, submited by SOMO AFRICA, with the amount of 25 000 euros;
In Uganda:
- Renovation of the Wanda Błeńska Tuberculosis and Leprosy Training and Rehabilitation Center in St Francis Hospital in Buluba, submitted by the St Francis Hospital in Buluba, with the amount of 15 000 euros;
- Renovation of the existing outpatient department (OPD) in Mpunge Health Centre III – Koja, submitted by the Mpunge Health Centre III, with the amount of 10 000 euros.
The above-mentioned organizations which have received funding will be contacted individually in the coming days, but no later than on Monday, August 24, 2020, for further information.
