Seminar on Polish Technologies in Nairobi

On December 1, 2023, the “Seminar on Polish Technologies” was held in Nairobi, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi with the support of partners Dig in Vision and Toolkit iSkills.

The event was opened by Deputy Speaker of the Kenya National Assembly, Mrs. Gladys J. Boss, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Kenya, Mr. Mirosław Gojdź. During the seminar, representatives of the Polish hi-tech sector and technological universities (UR in Kraków, UP in Poznań) had the opportunity to present the latest Polish technologies in the VR, agricultural and food sectors to Kenyan audience. There was also a discussion with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, BGK, PAIH, KenInvest and the EU Delegation in Nairobi on the possibilities of investment and cooperation in Kenya, including under the Global Gateway strategy and the flagship project submitted by Poland related to the development of biogas plants. The event was attended by approximately 200 participants.

 

After the seminar, Polish delegates held a number of meetings and study visits in Nairobi and Meru County, including: at the Ministry of Agriculture, cattle farms considered as a potential location for the first Polish biogas plant, the "Mount Kenya" dairy plant, a coffee factory in Meru and at the Toolkit iSkills innovation center.
