Poland in Kenya

The agreement was signed on behalf of local governments by Ms. Lydia Charlie, Mayor of Victori, and Mr. Grzegorz Benedykciński, Mayor of Grodzisk Mazowiecki. The contract was signed remotely, and the ceremony was attended by the ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Mirosław Gojdź, and the deputy head of mission, Ms. Joanna Szymańska.
In the Partnership Agreement, the Parties declared that, recognizing their common desire to develop and cultivate stronger cultural, social and economic ties between the Parties and their people, and bearing in mind the benefits that both Parties can achieve through exchanges and significant cooperation activities, they have decided to strengthen existing friendly ties between their two countries. The Parties will promote and strengthen their bilateral ties to achieve common goals in various areas of cooperation, in particular:
a) Economics;
b) Trade
c) Science and technology;
d) Education;
e) Culture;
f) Sports;
g) Health;
h) City development;
i) Environmental protection;
j) Tourism;
k) In the area of ​​social relations, supporting the promotion of Grodzisk Mazowiecki and the City of Victoria.

The Parties' cooperation will focus on the implementation of joint projects in the most important areas on the basis of agreements or arrangements concluded by organizations, institutions and offices of both Parties. 

The authorities of both local governments announced that the Seychelles delegation will take part in this year's edition of the World Culture Festival in Grodzisk Mazowiecki - an event promoting folkloric cultural diversity from various corners of the world.
Representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi received thanks for the initiative to establish a partnership agreement.
The partnership between Grodzisk Mazowiecki and the city of Victoria has a special dimension. This is the first-ever partnership agreement between the local governments of the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Seychelles. It includes the establishment of a partnership by the Polish city-municipal government with the capital of the country, which is also one of the few capital-based city-municipal governments in the world, inhabited by approximately 80 percent of the country's population. Which means that the partnership agreement was in fact concluded not only with the capital of Seychelles, but also with almost its entire territory and inhabited population. The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi is convinced of the uniqueness of this agreement, which is a great opportunity but also a great responsibility, because as the Polish partner of the city of Victoria, through local government study visits, youth exchanges and presenting local achievements in many areas, Grodzisk Mazowiecki will be a promoter of the Polish State in this country.
