After two years of political impasse, Joseph Aoun was elected as the new president of the Republic of Lebanon.

Poland, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, congratulates Lebanon and Joseph Aoun personally on the election of the president. We also congratulate the whole Lebanese nation. This is the first step towards the stabilisation and development of Lebanon. It is very important, especially in the current situation following a year of war and destruction.

We wish Lebanon all the best and much success and we hope to strengthen Polish – Lebanese relations.
