On February 6, 2025, Mr. Michał Cygan, chargé d'affaires ad interim of the Republic of Poland in Abuja was received by the Director of Diplomatic Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ambassador Wahab A. Akande.

In addition to the notification of arrival and taking up the position, during a cordial and friendly conversation, the prospects for further development and strengthening of friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Poland and Nigeria were discussed.
